iPhone 5s

I'm new to the iPhone always had the android system . So I don't know if it's me the phone or the service,or any Combination. I get drop calls text messages won't go threw and have full status bar. Now my wife have the galaxecy 4s and know I miss spelled that. But she doesnt have the problems I have same service . Can't open internet page while on a call is the my service or apple? Or a feature I don't know about. Like I said the system is very new to me and different than what I'm use to. I need help or phone goes back for something else.
