So stupid me, I bought a stolen Iphone off of Craigslist. Of course I didn't know it, but didn't go through the process of checking the MEID before leaving the guy either. So it is my fault and I'm out the $150.
Question is should I return the phone to Sprint or to the cops? Which has a better chance of getting it back to the appropriate owner? I called the sheriff's office and they said I could drop it off with them which gave me the impression they probably weren't going to do anything with the case.
