Fished a large portion of west galveston bay today with minimal success. Hooked one trout and then pulled the hook that was it. Was drifiting a grass flat on the north shoreline when I saw what appeared to be a 3.5 ft tarpon in about 2ft of water. Came very close to the boat but spooked quicky and I couldn't make a cast at it. Has anyone else had any similar experiences inshore in the galveston complex? Also did anyone have any success fishing Monday?
