Long time reader. First time poster.
We took our 1976 17' Aquasport. It has been in the family since 1985. Grandpa caught a lot of trout and reds out of it. Dad broke it in offshore in the 90's. I finally got a decent motor on it and Dad and I went out on his birthday weekend.
It was lake conditions. Snapper were there. 
I did so well my wife suggested I go again tomorrow. Dad backed out at the ramp as the seas were building. My uncle and I continued the pursuit. After halfway we hit 2-3 foot NE chop had to slow down. By the time we got to our spot we had some 4 footers rollin under. Caught our limits and headed in. Boat ran great! Many more to come.
