Solar panel

Does anyone use a solar panel mounted on their T top? I got one as a gift and was wondering if it's worth the hassle to mount. What I'm saying is, will it recharge the batteries while I'm out fishing if a radio and fish finder are on? Also, any ideas on how to mount it? I have an idea, but it involves drilling holes in the tubing. Will the panel hold up to the boat rides to and from the jetties? It's a 23' boat with two batteries and a perko switch. The panel is a 12 watt from Academy. I also have the controller to ensure the batts aren't overcharged. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
