If you are in the vicinity of 290 between Pinemont and Hollister, do not give this man money. Two weeks ago, I was leaving Hooters and he approached me crying about his 4 year old girl that was just in an accident across town. She was thrown through the windshield and he desperately needs gas money to get to her. He was wearing a Burger King uniform and said he just left work and his car made it to Target across the street before it died. I had a feeling it was a scam but I have a little girl and I thought -what if my kid was injured and I couldn't get there for some reason ... What if he's telling the truth?
I gave him twenty bucks and my business card so he could let me know how his little girl was. Two days later, I stopped at the Burger King he claimed to work at and the manager confirmed that he had scammed many people before me and that he works the Target/Best Buy parking lot.
Today I drove through there just curious if he was there and guess what? He was- with a Whataburger uniform! He even told me the same story about his daughter when I rolled my window down! He looked confused when I asked " how many windshields is that kid gonna break?"
Took a couple pics of him and showed it to the Whataburger mngr. He asked me to text him the pics so he could post them in his store.
This guy looked a little less rough when he had the Burger King hat and jacket on two weeks ago. I was probably too gullable but if you see this guy, don't pay him.
