Need advice from the 2cool brain trust.
My wife and I are starting a small business. The name is matching two of the three words that is already registered in Texas and the state denied it without consent from the other company.
I have spent a lot of time and money (logo design, site address, etc) on the name we have chosen already. So changing it is almost a non option at this point.
I need to have the owner sign a consent form for me to use the name. We are two completely different businesses and the other company has 0 online footprint as of now.
Do I certify mail the consent form with a letter stating who we are, and our goals and values?
Or do I call the owner on the phone first.
Any help here is greatly appreciated.
